Abstract The Chicago Lawn Congregational Church was formed by members of the Chicago Lawn Union Church in 1902. The church’s first building was constructed in 1904. In 1912, land for a second church building was donated by Vandelia Thomas, wife of the late Rev. Hiram Washington Thomas, and the name of the church was changed to Hiram W. Thomas Memorial Church. Abstract The Warren Avenue Congregational Church in Chicago, Illinois, began as a mission branch church before being gathered as an independent church in 1889. The church building was constructed in 1886 and it underwent renovations and expansions in 1896 and 1901. The church merged with the Central Presbyterian Church to become the Warren Central United Church in 1968. The church was first gathered in 1876 under the leadership of Andrew Brotherstone. In 1894, the Waveland Avenue Congregationalist Church officially joined the associated Chicago area Congregationalist churches. In 1961, the church joined the United Church of Christ. The church served its community until 1982 when it permanently closed. The collection includes board reports, financial records, and administrative records.

Abstract In 1892, the town of Creede was incorporated. Rev. Horace Sanderson, a missionary minister from the Congregational Home Missions office, delivered the first sermon in town on January 10, 1892. Under Rev. William T.
