This collection contains records related to the Nottingham Congregational Church, the Euclid Congregational Church, and the Hope Congregational Church which was formed from the merging of the two previous churches. The collection includes a record book from the Nottingham Congregational Church, as well as two folders of loose materials removed from that record book, a scrapbook for the Euclid Congregational Church, a letter describing the decision to merge, and a membership directory.

Historical Note

The Nottingham Congregational Church was formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1908. The Euclid Congregational Church was formed in Euclid, Ohio, in 1915. In 1952, the church constructed a new building. In 1960, the Euclid Congregational Church and the Nottingham Congregational Church merged to form the Hope Congregational Church in Euclid, Ohio. In 1990, the Hope Congregational Church merged into the Faith United Church of Christ in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Faith United Church of Christ and the Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church merged in 2020 to form the Lyndhurst Community of Faith Church.
