Abstract The Plymouth Congregational Church was founded in Round Prairie in 1836. A building was built the following year, functioning both as a schoolhouse and church. The church worshiped jointly with the local Presbyterians under the same reverend. The church moved to a more prominent location in Plymouth, a city in Hancock County, in 1854. Abstract A Christian Connection church was gathered in 1834 in Providence, Rhode Island, and by 1871 it was known as the Broad Street Christian Church. The Elmwood Congregational Church was first gathered in 1851 and in 1895 it was reformed as the Elmwood Temple Congregational Church in Providence. Abstract

The Free Evangelical Congregational Church was gathered in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1843. In 1945, the name of the church was changed to Hope Street Church. In 1950, the church merged with the Second Presbyterian Church of Providence. The church still exists today as the Providence Presbyterian Church. This collection contains vital membership records and administrative records and includes vital statistics, meeting minutes, and governance documents.

Abstract The Charles Street Congregational Society in North Providence, Rhode Island, later the North Congregational Society, was gathered in 1865. In 1882, construction on the Charles Street Chapel was completed and in 1885 the church was renamed to the North Congregational Church. Abstract The Plymouth Congregational Church was formed in 1878 and the Union Congregational Church was formed in 1871. Construction on the Plymouth Church was completed in 1919. Both churches merged in 1927 to form the Plymouth-Union Congregational Church. Due to decreased membership, the church dissolved in 1971.
