Scope and Contents
This subseries contains records about the print and manuscript collections held by the Congregational Library & Archives. This subseries contains collection inventories, appraisals, notes about portions of the collections, records relating to the loan of the Johnathan Mayhew portrait to the National Gallery, condition surveys, and records relating to specific collecting projects. Of special import in this subseries is the 1853 book list which contains a list of the first 56 books that were donated to the Congregational Library.
