Scope and Contents

This series contains records related to the Congregational Library & Archives and its various functions such as external communications, fundraising, and the administration and everyday functions of the Library itself. This series also contains records about the collections held by the Library as well as some records related to the Congregational Christian Historical Society. The Congregational Library & Archives has always been the primary function of the American Congregational Association's work, and after the sale of the Congregational House in 2017, became the sole focus of the ACA.

Except where otherwise stated, this collection is available for researchers only with special permission from the chair of the board or directors of the American Congregational Association and/or from the executive director of the Congregational Library & Archives.
