Abstract The First Church of Danvers was founded in 1672 when a group of farmers who lived quite a distance from the Salem meetinghouse of which they were members petitioned for permission to erect one of their own. Dayton, Ohio. St. Luke's United Church of Christ records, 1908-2013.

Abstract In 1908, a group of men and women gathered together in the home of Christian Poock to form what would become St. Luke's. The next year, St. Lukes officially had its first pastor, Reverand F. A. Meusch. That year they also became a member of the German Evangelical Synod of North America. In 1955 the church offically joined the United Church of Christ. The United Congregational Church in East Providence, Rhode Island, was gathered in 1889. The church building was designed by the William R. Walker & Son architectural firm. The church dissolved in 1970. The collection includes meeting minutes, committee reports, vital membership records, correspondence, and records relating to the church’s dissolution.

Abstract

The Feeding Hills Congregational Church in Feeding Hills, Agawam, Massachusetts was first organized as the Sixth Congregational Church in Springfield on November 10, 1762. The church was reorganized as the Congregational Church of Christ in Feeding Hills in 1819. In 1855 the church reorganized as the Feeding Hills Congregational Church. This collection contains a single volume which includes meeting minutes and vital statistics.

The Second Church of Wrentham, also known as the West Parish Church, was established in 1738. When the West Precinct of Wrentham separated from Wrentham and incorporated as Franklin in 1778, the West Parish Church was renamed the First Congregational Church of Franklin. Included within the collection are meeting minutes, committee reports, society records, and vital records.

The First Congregational Church in Georgetown was originally established in 1731 as Rowley West Parish. When the town of Georgetown was incorporated in 1838, the Rowley West Parish was renamed to the First Congregational Church of Georgetown. The establishment date for the United Church of the Applewoods in Golden, Colorado, is unknown, though it existed in the late 1950s. In 1968, the church agreed to share the building with the Jefferson Unitarian Church and in 1973 the church building was given completely to the Unitarian Church, likely marking the formal dissolution of the United Church of the Applewoods. The collection contains a single ledger containing both vital records and membership records for the church.

The Congregational Church of Grafton traces its roots back to a church established in 1671 in what was then known as Hassanamisco Plantation (now Hassanamesit Reservation). In 1731 the body that would become known as the Congregational Church of Grafton was gathered, and four years later the town of Grafton was founded. The collection contains records of vital statistics, church membership, ordination, ecclesiastical councils, church meetings, and correspondence.

Granville, Mass. Granville Federated Church records, 1754-1941.

Abstract The First Church of Christ in Granville was gathered in 1744, and Moses Tuttle was ordained as the first minister in 1747. The first meeting house was constructed during Tuttle’s ministry. Timothy Mather Cooley, a Granville native, was called to become the minister of the First Church of Christ in 1795 and he served as the pastor for 63 years. In 1937, the First Church of Christ and the Baptist Church in Granville decided to share a building and merge to form the Granville Federated Church....
