Abstract
The history of the West Parish Church in Barnstable, Massachusetts, dates back to 1616 with the formation of the non-conformist Southwick Church. In 1634 the leader of the church and many of its members traveled to Boston and in 1639 settled in the newly incorporated Barnstable where they formed the first church in Barnstable. The North Grace Church’s origins began at a meeting on June 28, 1892 with twenty-four “charter members.” The newly formed church, then called the Congregational Church of North Berkeley, was led by Rev.
