Historical Note
In 1850, 23 members of Jaffrey's First Congregational Church requested letters of dismission to begin a new Church in the increasingly populous eastern part of the town. That same year the East Congregational Church was built. 1876 saw an expansion of the church's property with the addition of a parsonage and vestry. In 1949, the Congregational and Baptist churches joined in Federation becoming the Federated Church of Jaffrey.
