Abstract The Charles Street Congregational Society in North Providence, Rhode Island, later the North Congregational Society, was gathered in 1865. In 1882, construction on the Charles Street Chapel was completed and in 1885 the church was renamed to the North Congregational Church. Due to declining membership, the church building was given to the Rhode Island Home Missionary Society in 1912.
