Abstract The Elmwood Community Church was founded in 1921 from the Elmwood Union Chapel Association with James F. English as its first pastor. Due to the growth of the church, the Sunday school, the Ladies Aid Society, and other organizations, a new church building was construction beginning in 1926 with a parsonage following in 1947.
