Abstract

The Summerdale Congregational Church formed in 1899 out of a Sunday school that met in the Summerdale railway station. A year later, the Summerdale Congregational Church was organized. The records include correspondence, treasurer’s reports and receipts, church and committee minutes, and vital records.

Abstract Tabernacle Congregational Church was gathered on May 27, 1866 following the consolidation of two schools originally founded in 1857 and attached to the First Congregational Church. The consolidation resulted in the formation of the Tabernacle Mission and the creation of an attached Sunday-school, and finally in the establishment of the Tabernacle Congregational Church.
