Abstract

The Free Evangelical Congregational Church was gathered in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1843. In 1945, the name of the church was changed to Hope Street Church. In 1950, the church merged with the Second Presbyterian Church of Providence. The church still exists today as the Providence Presbyterian Church. This collection contains vital membership records and administrative records and includes vital statistics, meeting minutes, and governance documents.

Abstract The Solon Community Church was founded in 1834 as a congregational fellowship before joining the Cleveland Presbytery in 1840. The church burned down in 1897 and held services at the schoolhouse and Disciples of Christ church until a new building was dedicated in 1898.
