Abstract

The union formed in 1857 out of meetings held by Chicago pastors. They gathered together for prayer and to improve the relationships between the various churches. They also worked together on sermons, career development and coordinating special activities. It is not known when the union stopped meeting. This collection contains meeting minutes and record of incidentals. The incidental record contains volume two but volume one is missing.

Abstract In 1892, the town of Creede was incorporated. Rev. Horace Sanderson, a missionary minister from the Congregational Home Missions office, delivered the first sermon in town on January 10, 1892. Under Rev. William T. Patchell, the church was formally incorporated on August 5, 1894. Abstract

The city of Cripple Creek, Colorado, was incorporated in 1892, the same year that the First Congregational Church in Cripple Creek was gathered. The church was known as The Union Church by the 1940s and in later years it would be known as The United Church. The church was dissolved in 1983. This collection contains the administrative and vital membership records for The Union Church, previously named the First Congregational Church, in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Abstract In 1908, a group of men and women gathered together in the home of Christian Poock to form what would become St. Luke's. The next year, St. Lukes officially had its first pastor, Reverand F. A. Meusch. That year they also became a member of the German Evangelical Synod of North America. In 1955 the church offically joined the United Church of Christ.
