Abstract
William Banfield Capron was born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts on April 14, 1824. Sarah Brown Hooker was born in Lanesboro, Massachusetts, on April 24, 1828. Sarah and William met while both were teaching at the Hartford High School. They were married on October 1, 1856. Almost immediately after their marriage, the couple were assigned to the Madurai (then called Madura) Mission of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. They worked in Madurai and Manamadurai until 1872....

Abstract
The Lincoln Park Sunday School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was formed in 1894. The Barker Memorial Branch Church was formed out of the Sunday school in 1896. The church moved locations in 1906 and was renamed to Wallin Congregational Church. The church was remodeled in 1947. The church began searching for land to build a new church in 1958 and that effort was concluded in 1964 when a new church building was constructed. In 1955, Rev. Hoy of the First Congregational Church in Pueblo suggested that the residents of the developing Belmont neighborhood should consider establishing a “liberal” protestant church. The Christ Congregational Church was formally incorporated on February 11, 1957.
