Abstract

The Kennebec Valley Association was part of the Maine Conference and remained until 2016, when it merged with the Franklin Association to form the Living Water Association. The records begin in 1931, but information on when the association first formed is unknown. This collection contains a single volume that covers the accounts of the treasurer for the Kennebec Valley Association from 1931 through 2016.

Abstract Reverend John Dennison Kingsbury was born in Hanover, New Hampshire on April 19, 1831. He attended University of Vermont and received his M.A. in 1852. He then went to the Andover Theological Seminary, graduating in 1856. Later on in life, the Andover Theological Seminary honored him with the degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1887. His first pastorate was at the Congregational Church in Brandon, Vermont. His longest commitment would be in 1866 when he began working in Bradford, Massachusetts....
