Biographical / Historical

Truman Post was born in Middlebury, VT in 1810. He graduated from Middlebury College and Andover Theological Seminary and became a Professor of Languages and History at Illinois College from 1833-1847. He was ordained in 1840 and served at both Presbyterian and Congregational churches in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a corporate member of the A. B. C. F. M. and a lecturer at the Chicago Theological Seminary. He died in 1886.
