Abstract

Truman Post was born in Middlebury, VT in 1810. He graduated from Middlebury College and Andover Theological Seminary and became a Professor of Languages and History at Illinois College from 1833-1847. He was ordained in 1840 and served at both Presbyterian and Congregational churches in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a corporate member of the A.B.C.F.M. and a lecturer at the Chicago Theological Seminary. He died in 1886. One volume of compiled articles written by Truman M. Post for the Saint Louis Intelligencer from 1850-1853. Topics included lectures, sermons, reviews, and notes on various aspects of Congregationalism.
