Historical Note

The First Congregational Church of Olean, New York, was gathered in 1889. With a mortgage from the Home Missionary Society of New York, a church building was built near the corner of State Street and Barry Street. Owing to financial difficulties the church was dissolved in 1906 and the church building sold back to the Home Missionary Society.
