Historical Note
The Garfield Park Congregational Church was gathered in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood in 1901. In 1908, the church built a new church building at the corner of S Springfield Avenue and W Congress Street. The church dissolved in 1919. After the church's closure, the building became Hagro Anshe Wilno Synagogue. The building was demolished in the 1950s to make room for the Congress Expressway, now known as the Dwight D. Eisenhower Expressway.
