Abstract

The Onward Neighborhood House first formed out of a group of German Presbyterian in 1868 who wanted to provide services to the growing Chicago population. The Onward House followed in a set of settlement houses and worked to provide a variety of services to men, women and children. This collection contains information on the work of the various men's clubs at neighborhood house. It also has reports from people who lived and worked at the house.
