Biographical Note

Alfred H. Bartter, born in Cleveland in 1899, attended Oberlin College and Chicago Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1928 served in Iowa and Kansas Congregational churches. He also served as Associate Conference Minister for North Dakota before retiring. Bartter died in 1992. This play was written by Bartter in 1975 for Mayflower Day and performed by the Mayflower Players at a retirement center in Grinnell, Iowa.
