Historical Note

Suffolk Association of Ministers was organized in 1822, Rev. Wisner of Boston hosted the first meeting and acted as scribe. Communities represented were: Newton, Boston, Needham, Charlestown, Dedham, and Waltham. The Association divided into North and South in 1829. Suffolk South Conference of Churches organized 1861, changed name to Association of Churches in 1911. In 1964 Suffolk North and South Associations and Woburn merged to form Metropolitan Boston Association.

Nicholas, Arthur Robinson Remainder likely deposited in 1970 following merger of Suffolk groups with Woburn to form Metropolitan Boston Association.
