Scope and Contents
Scrapbook 5, 1879-1899 correspondence concering book sales with rare book dealers from New York, Leipzig, Constantinople, Calcutta, Jaffina Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), and Jerusalem. The scrapbook also contains clippings on Tremont Temple and Mount Holyoke College, photographs of pastors and Church leaders, such as Fanny Crosby, birthday greetings from Pratt's 70th birthday, and a circular for "The Bible on Exhibit" in London and Berkeley Temple.
Correspondents present in scrapbook 5 include Isaac H. Hall, J.H. Thayer, professor of New Testament at Harvard Divinity, Caspar Rene Gregory, George Kittridge, professor of Enlgish at Harvard, Edward W. Gilman, secretary at the American Bible Society, George A. Hood, Pastor of Pilgrim Church in Minnesota, Edward Kimball, Cyrus Adler of United States National Museum of the Smithsonian Institute, and biblical scholar Edward Mitchell.
