Abstract The Congregational Home Missionary Society for the Rocky Mountain district, called Thomas McClelland in 1878 to help establish a Congregational church in South Pueblo. The First Congregational Church of South Pueblo was gathered in 1878 and incorporated in 1879. Its first building was constructed in 1881, and a second building was constructed in 1889.
