The Congregational Society in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, was first organized and began convening in its first meeting house in 1769. Over the next two decades, the society constructed two more meeting houses. Its third meeting house served the community until 1839, when a group of church members withdrew to form their own congregation and build their own meeting house, a fourth, in Bridge Village. Abstract
Ipswich, Massachusetts, first known as Agawam, was settled by John Winthrop in 1633 and was incorporated the following year. The First Church in Ipswich was gathered on August 5, 1634, and the first meeting house was constructed the same year. Construction on the second meeting house was completed in 1647. Abstract
On September 23, 1874, a meeting was called for the organization of a Congregational church in Wollaston, Quincy, Massachusetts. The resulting Wollaston Congregational Society met in local churches and member residences until the completion of the first meeting house, which was erected in 1875 and dedicated in 1876.
