Abstract The Plymouth Congregational Church was founded in Round Prairie in 1836. A building was built the following year, functioning both as a schoolhouse and church. The church worshiped jointly with the local Presbyterians under the same reverend. The church moved to a more prominent location in Plymouth, a city in Hancock County, in 1854. In 1919, the church merged with Presbyterians from the town, keeping the name Plymouth Congregational Church. The church officially closed down in 1959. This...

The Christ Congregational Church was formally incorporated on February 11, 1957.
