Abstract In 1892, the town of Creede was incorporated. Rev. Horace Sanderson, a missionary minister from the Congregational Home Missions office, delivered the first sermon in town on January 10, 1892. Under Rev. William T. Patchell, the church was formally incorporated on August 5, 1894. The city of Cripple Creek, Colorado, was incorporated in 1892, the same year that the First Congregational Church in Cripple Creek was gathered. The church was known as The Union Church by the 1940s and in later years it would be known as The United Church. The church was dissolved in 1983. Abstract On October, 10, 1708, the First Congregational Church in Falmouth, was formally gathered and Josiah Metcalf was ordained as the church's first minister.
