This collection consists of spiritual talks given by Eleanor H. Mathews to the Young Woman’s League in 1950 and 1951. Topics of the talks include review of previous year’s activities, a New Year’s look ahead at the year’s likely activities, a reminder of the purpose of the League, and the meaningfulness of Christmas.

Biographical / Historical
According to her daughter, Eleanor H. Rice and her family lived in Somerset, Massachusetts between 1947 and 1954 and attended the Somerset Congregational Christian Church. During that time Mrs. Rice was participated with the Young Woman’s League, possibly as a chaplain.
