Admissions and Dismissals, 1828

 File — Box: 7, Folder: 20

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series includes member directories and registers; confessions of faith; baptism, marriage, and death records; examining committee minutes; and records of admissions and dismissals. The bound volumes will frequently have lists of members, baptisms, deacons, but some of the lists are more complete than others.

In Box 4, A.Z. Conrad's pastor's book lists marriages, and includes details about the bride and groom, including name, race, residence, age, occupation, number of marriages, birth city, parents' names, maiden name, place and date of marriage. There are also a few pages in that book dedicated to detailed information about deaths, but there are several years missing in that run. The second book that runs from 1921-1949 continues to have details about marriages, but is more basic for deaths.

Some committee records, like Examining and Conference, have been divided into two separate boxes.
