Historical Note
The first meeting of the First Baptist Church in Jaffrey met on January 28, 1814. In 1823 the First Baptist Church & Society was formed and incorporated. After Rev. Roger Floyd departed in 1949, the Baptists voted to join in federation with the East Congregational Church, forming The Federated Church in Jeffrey. In 1959, after a decade of separate worship, the Congregationalists and Baptists joined fully and formed the United Church of Jaffrey.
