Scope and Contents
Scrapbook 3, 1879-1899 inlcudes correspondence pertaining to missionaries, the "Rich Man's Bible," book purchases, articles written by Pratt, Pratt's appointment to Honorary Vice President of the American Sunday School Union in 1899, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Bible Exhibit: "Illustrations of Jerome and John Eliot," the installation of Rev. William Allen Knight as the pastor for Berkeley Temple Church, and notices of Presidents elected at Brown and Amhert colleges. Also included are a clipping on book collector "Bernard Quartich," illustations of the Christian Endeavor Museum at Hillcreat, Auburndale, Massachusetts, and an article regarding the Samaritan Manuscript of the Hebrew Pentateuch.
Correspondents present in scrapbook 3 include Cesarea Farnesworth, Selah Merrill, United States Consulate in Jerusalem, George Braithwaite of the Bible Societies' Committee for Japan in Yokohama, and Francis G. Pratt.
