Richard Jenkins was born on June 3, 1903. He was a psychiatrist known for work on child psychiatrist and juvenile delinquency. He taught at several schools, including the University of Illinois College of Medicine and the University of Iowa. He also worked for the Veterans Administration as a psychiatric research chief. Richard and Gladys had three children, Joan, Janet and Jane. He died on December 30th, 1991.
